This is the result of "340 to 350kmh" on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a 9ff Porsche GT3 conversion with over 1000NM of torque. The owner, Knut Knuge, was attending today's Nürburgring Nordschleife Pistenclub trackday. And when he got to the 1.5 mile Döttinger hohe straight, he gave it full gas...

Unfortunately the steel* mounting brackets of the big GT3 wing couldn't quite take monumental downforce being created. I'm guessing that's a couple of hundred kilos at work, judging by the bent 3.5mm plating.

Luckily for Knut (the owner, pictured above), the wing simply folded flat and he could pull over safely. Next on the upgrade list? Definitely a re-inforced wing mounting!
*I suspect they're an aluminium alloy, as do most people, considering their relative weakness and dull matt finish.

btw, the brackets are aluminium not steel as I can remember
Volker: I did ask permission to take photos and interview the guy. He's a nice chap, just enjoying his car. It's a trackday with public access all around the circuit.
340-50 km/h! Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu uuuuuuuking A!
I've done 280 which probably slow for most guys on this forum but ... Damn ... without proper aero bits, how can he stay on the ground? He needs a 911 RS duck tail
