This awesome onboard video from the 2012 Nürburgring 24-hour isn't just a battle between Porsche and Nissan, between the ultimate 911 and GTR. No, it's a battle between the pure race car and the modified street car. It's a battle between GT aerodynamics and brute horsepower.

The Huber Motorsport Porsche GT3 Cup car is your typical Porsche racecar; good aeros, high peak power and perfect balance. The driver then catches the big white monster that is the official Nissan GTR entry. The GTR, by contrast, is just a slightly stripped and rollcaged street car. GTR daddy Mizuno was obssessive about keeping the car as stock as possible, refusing extra oil coolers and modifications that were perfectly permissable under the rules. Instead the team just stuck a wing on the car, and pretty much hoped for the best... (it didn't go so well, as the time spent in the pits ruined the white GTRs chances of class victory. The other sister car ran extra coolers and did much better...)
