    Hi Everyone

    Greetings from Northern Ireland…

For #club1000 I have purchased a low mileage 1999 Toyota Yaris, I found the car advertised on Gumtree only 3 miles away from my work, couple of grannies as previous owners…

Car was purchased for £450 with one months MOT, but it has done less than 1,000 miles since it’s last MOT so should pass again without doing anything to it.

I have ordered a Koni fixed suspension kit including H&R springs that should tighten up the handling and lower the car by 35mm.

I’ve also bought a lot of new hoses for under the bonnet as the 18 year old hoses have started to dose.

You may have seen on the Facebook page that we renovated the headlights, quite an easy fix, just a bit of t-cut and an orbital polisher, but made a huge difference to them.

I also plan to upgrade the brakes, wheels and tyres, fit some buckets seats and a half roll cage, and apply a vinyl wrap to the car, more details to follow…

Can’t wait to see everyone’s builds coming together…

    All the best…

    Nigel

So these are 7×15″?! I am wondering which rims will fit the 195’s good. Your combination loos preety spot on.
In Germany there are 6,5×15″ rims you can easily register. Wider rims will end in pain with the TÜV 🙂

Yes, they are 15×7, and the 195’s are a perfect fit, also the rolling circumference is less than 2mm of difference from the original 175/65/14 so shouldn’t affect the speedo/gearing…

Ok guys, it’s been a busy week for the Yaris…

Firstly I took it to my local Powerflow Exhausts dealer to get a custom exhaust made as I was finding it difficult to get an off the shelf sports exhaust for the car.

They made me a full system from the manifold back, we have removed the catalytic converter and have just one silencer at the rear of the new system.
