Your 2016 Nürburgring Nordschleife Opening Times are HERE!

I’m not a religious person, but can you give me a hallelujah? Yes, the 2016 Nürburgring Nordschleife Touristenfahrten opening times have landed!

And we’re not talking about one or two month’s worth, oh no. The WHOLE OF 2016 is here and ready for you.

I really can’t stress how much we all depend on these dates, and how important they are. You can start planning your holidays here, and I can start taking RingTaxi bookings! 😉

Below are a couple of highlights, or maybe the weekends to avoid, depending on your point of view.

Nurburgring public session queue

EASTER 2016
March 25.26.27.28: 0800-1830
The Friday is Karfreitag: Best to watch this one, rather than drive it. Saturday and Sunday will be busy, then Monday should be great. Especially the afternoon. Unless it snows.

BTG/CD TRACKDAY + TF
April 8.9.10
On Friday you’ve got the open-pitlane trackday with Circuit Days and BridgeToGantry (Book with discount code BTG8416 to receive £50 off!). Then you can choose: Saturday at Spa with Gold Track, or Saturday/Sunday at the Nordschleife public sessions!

GREEN HELL DRIVING DAYS (MAY) 2016
May 5.6.7.8: 0800-1900
Four full days of driving. Or queueing. Again, the Monday afternoon will be quietest on track. Whereas Saturday at 1100, watching at Adenauer Forst, will be SPECTACULAR

My own notes:

As any experienced ‘Ringer will tell you, the opening times published at the start of the year are not 100% reliable. Sometimes events change, organisers need more time (or less) and the first thing on the calendar to get shuffled is a public session.

Then, don’t forget the weather either. I’ve seen snow in May and sunshine in November. Any day of the year might be fogged off – we normally get one or two ‘fog’ days a year. At least.

So if you’re coming from a long way away, and you *really* want to be sure to drive the ‘Ring, then plan on being a here a couple of days at least. Never just one.
