Driving the Nürburgring Nordschleife during the increasingly wild public days isn’t for everybody. BUT a private trackday allows you to drive as many laps as you want in that event, with like-minded folks who have had a briefing and come to do the same thing.
Over the last 20 years that I’ve been working here, more and more trackday organisers have added the Nordschleife to their calendar. For me, even as a resident, the trackdays are the highlight of the year (particularly the Circuit Days events, which I help out with!).
This year I am going to draw a big LINE between the different types of trackdays though, as there is a HUGE difference between the distinct types of event that you might book:
- REGULAR Nürburgring Nordschleife trackdays (suitable for none-german cars, trackday cars, even race cars*)
- GERMAN road cars only (STVO applies!)
- RACE CARS ONLY
Also new to this year’s list is my inclusion of the most-important Spa Francorchamps trackdays! Why am I including these? Let me explain…
- Spa is literally just over 1 hour away from the Nürburgring. That’s two of the greatest circuits known to man, close enough to drive both in one day.
- So many of my friends and customers from the UK, USA, and further afield, want to do the ‘double’ that I’ve decided ‘f**k it’ and I’m putting them all together in one list
- My new job at Jacos-paddock.com, renting arrive-and-drive BMW and Supra racecars means I’ll be at both tracks a LOT in 2026, attending most of these events officially!
Here is a collection of my recommended dates and organisers, organised by TYPE of event, with some notes from myself.
THIS LIST IS WORK IN PROGRESS
MORE DATES TO BE ADDED SOON!
‘NORMAL’ NÜRBURGRING & SPA TRACKDAYS 2026
EXPLANATION: Suitable for ‘foreign’ registered and none-road-registered cars. You’re entering the track at your own risk. You’re responsible for your own car, your own barrier damage. If you get tapped, or hit somebody else’s oil, you’re still responsible for your own damage!

GERMAN “TRAINING” DAYS
Why have I separated these from the list above? Because German petrolheads are lucky enough to enjoy full insurance on racetracks. Great news for GT3RS owners who can’t afford to write-off a €300k Manthey machine. Bad news if you’re planning on tracking an uninsured E36 ringtool on the same track.
These events make YOU responsible for not only your own damage, but also for damage you cause to other participants, and that you’re insured for that. HINT: you almost certainly are NOT covered for third-party risks unless you’re German, with a German car and a GOOD insurance policy!

RACECAR ONLY TRACKDAYS
These are events largely associated with racing series, e.g. friday nights before VLN. I will add more to this list later.
* even racecars on slicks are allowed on some normal trackdays events, but always speak to the organiser first, as we don’t like teams turning up to test GT3 cars and bully our novices.
