On Saturday our Milltek Sport team will head out into VLN qualifying with more than just a pole position on our minds. Each of our three drivers will be heading out on to the Nürburgring looking for a pole position that could lead to a championship victory in our first GT86 Cup season.
In clichéd Nürburgring VLN conditions, our Milltek Sport team powered through to secure a third win in the Toyota Motorsports GT86 Cup!
After a soaking wet shakedown session on Friday afternoon, our new, post-N24, gearbox began to fail. Thus began a weekend where every single team member played a part in the eventual victory. Our gearbox was ordered at 6pm, the end of Friday practice, and by 8pm Toyota Motorsports were delivering it to the Manheller workshop. Shortly before 10pm, we were strapping the GT86 back in to the Milltek Sport trailer ready to return to the paddock.
There was no small amount of pressure as we prepped the Milltek Sport GT86 for our second VLN race of the year. Our convincing victory at VLN1 was something we were keen to repeat, but it was going to be tough. Continue reading VLN2: Another podium and a championship lead for our Milltek GT86
As reported on before, Milltek Sport haven’t just supplied new, improved exhaust systems to every GT86 Cup team, they’ve also bought a new 2017 spec car and allowed #TeamBTG to race it! With massive support from LiteBlox, and help from RaceWear24 and Vollverklebt (and many more friends) we’re back for another season of VLN… Continue reading VLN1: We win the first race of the TMG 2017 GT86 Cup
After the heart-lifting golden sunshine of the Nürburgring’s first weekend of opening, it should be no surprise that the second week was completely the opposite.
Sure enough, moody dark clouds, full of morale-sapping drizzle, hung low over the Eifel mountains on Saturday as over 100 VLN racing cars took to the Nordschleife.
And #TeamBTG was there with our new GT86 Cup by Toyota Motorsports GmbH. Continue reading Driving the VLN Test & Einstellfahrten: wet and wild
Would there be gravel, wouldn’t there? It was the question on every fan’s lips after this story appeared on BridgeToGantry.
As one of the most-crashed corners of the Nürburgring, and a constant feature of Nürburgring Youtube channels, the safety of Brünnchen is important for the reputation of the Nordschleife.
But after a few modifications, the final version for 2017 has arrived, just hours before the first VLN cars hit the Nordschleife (including the TeamBTG GT86 Cup machine). Continue reading Brünnchen mods finished – VLN racecars hit the Nordschleife tomorrow
Some days I really have to pinch myself, you know, just to check that this is reality. And not some fevered pain-killer-induced hallucination on a hospital bed, because in real-life I’ve crashed.
What on Earth am I on about? Well, this…
The last race of the year at the Nürburgring is rarely smooth sailing. VLN10 was no exception, as these videos show.

Simply finishing a race isn’t normally a headline in motorsports, but after the hard season thus far, we were delighted to finish the Nürburgring 6-hour on Saturday. Here’s how it happened…
As I hinted at in my previous BTG live-broadcasts, we are super-excited to reveal that TeamBTG is being strengthened by the arrival of none-other-than Tom Onslow-Cole, and a mid-season-switch to a TMG GT-86 Cup car!
BIG thanks to our great sponsors Milltek Sport, Lite-Blox, and our guest driver JF Brunot! Even bigger thanks to TMG and Ring Racing for making this happen.
