It’s an argument that’s probably as old as the Nurburgring Nordschleife itself. When an overtake results in a crash, both drivers will normally blame each other. In some circumstances it’s hard to ever place blame on one driver completely. Continue reading VIDEO: Why checking your mirrors is quite important on the ‘Ring
There’s something horrifically enthralling about watching crash videos. But these three minutes are sickening hypnotic… Continue reading VIDEO: 2016 Motorcycle crash compilation from the Nürburgring
Any racing driver will tell you, a good overtake is clean, decisive and clear.
This overtake is absolutely none of those things.
And the result is predictably heart-breaking…
Last night’s Nürburgring Nordschleife touristenfahrten session came to an abrupt end when three motorcycles and a car crashed at Hohe Acht.
One 66-year-old rider was very seriously injured, and flown to Koblenz, where he remains in a serious condition today. Two other Norwegian bikers were injured, and the car driver remained unhurt. Continue reading Polizei seek witnesses after 5-vehicle accident at Hohe Acht
I’m saddened to confirm that two tourists are dead and three more people were injured in a crash on the so-called “fourth left” of Kesselchen on the Nürburgring Nordschleife today.

For my none-European, none-car-nerd readers, let me explain something. The 205 GTi is a legendary car for many reasons, not all of them good:
- Incredibly responsive handling
- Great power to weight ratio from its peppy 8-valve motor
- Snappy lift-off oversteer from its unforgiving torsion-beam rear axle
And what happens in the video below is more to do with the latter point than the first two…
