Just strike this one up on the massive list titled “Missed Opportunities at the Nürburgring”. While there’s nothing wrong with this video of a classic Rothmans-liveried Porsche 911 rally car enjoying the Nürburgring GP circuit, there’s nothing really that exciting either.
The time has arrived, as the Eifel broadband has finally finished uploading this wonderful 11 minutes of VTEC-powered fun.
Looking at the screenshot above, what do you think? Is Achim overtaking a full-fat Audi Quattro rally car? Or letting him past? I don’t think any regulars here will have any doubt about the correct answer…

Today is the one time of the year that racing cars can officially go fast the wrong way around the Nürburgring Nordschleifen.
It’s the Rallye Köln-Ahrweiler, and one of the special stages is from Adenau to Nürburg, back to Breidscheid. We couldn’t miss it, so my boys and me took the Suzuki 4×4 on our errands this morning and managed to snap a few photos at some key locations:
