Ignore the GT badges on the front of this Megane, spotted testing on the Nürburgring Nordschleife this week. Instead look at the wheels, the brakes, and those bolt-on arches.
Looking from the rear, those tyres are at least a 235 size, maybe bigger.
Oh yes, that’s mostly like a test-mule for the Megane RS. A new RenaultSport machine, and (I’m told by those in the know) a strong contender for fastest-ever front-wheel-drive to ever hit the ‘Ring. Continue reading SPOTTED: Five-door automatic Megane RS test mule
Well, we did it. Kind of. Thanks to Milltek and Lite-Blox, we ‘upgraded’ from our broken and fire damaged Fiesta ST to a 1994 E36 M3 and went toe-to-toe with the modern (and not so modern) competitors in class V5. Continue reading VIDEO: VLN6, very M3, much dogfight, such sadness.
Last night’s Nürburgring Nordschleife touristenfahrten session came to an abrupt end when three motorcycles and a car crashed at Hohe Acht.
One 66-year-old rider was very seriously injured, and flown to Koblenz, where he remains in a serious condition today. Two other Norwegian bikers were injured, and the car driver remained unhurt. Continue reading Polizei seek witnesses after 5-vehicle accident at Hohe Acht
BMW aren’t wasting any more time in getting their customer-racing version of the M4 ready for the track. This week’s Industrie Pool session is playing home to a host of very fast cars, not surprising considering the glorious weather!

Say WHAT? We’re doing WHAT? Yes, we’re installed in Box 17 right now, in a 4-door BMW E36 M3, ready to go toe-to-toe with the finest competitors of class V5.
Thanks to the support of Milltek Sport and Lite-Blox, Luke and me are back on the grid!
Teams that include winners like Black Falcon, Pixum Adrenaline, and ProSport. Cars like Caymans (many Caymans), Z4s and E90 330is.

Like a grumpy old man, hanging on to photos of his ‘glory days’, I often like to remind people that I have a motorbike license and used to get up to some pretty batshit-crazy stuff on a motorcycle.
We were going sub-8 on motorbikes back when you needed a GT3 on race tyres to keep up, and not just a family hatchback. Continue reading VIDEO: Three reasons I don’t ride motorbikes on TF anymore
Porsche’s soon-to-be-officially-acknowledged 991-shaped GT2 is still pounding out the laps at the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The weather is utterly fantastic right now, though with track temperatures hitting nearly 50ºC at times, laptimes are not exactly at the top of the priority list. Continue reading More Porsche 991 GT2 photos
August is here, the weather is glorious, and every session of terroristenfahrten (public driving) is crazy busy, and crazy, well, just crazy!
And thanks to the statistically better weather, the industry pool can get a little bit more interesting too. More supercars appear, and they’re driving faster than ever. Continue reading Second-gen Porsche 991 GT3 edges closer to release

I won’t bother sticking too many words up amongst these photos. But suffice to say that I found a spare 30 minutes today to watch the exclusive “Oldtimer-only” driving session that happened between 8 and 12 this morning.
