UPDATED: More video at the bottom of the page! If Donald Trump is upset about leaks in his security, he should have a talk with the bosses over at Sant’Agata Bolognese, Lamborghini HQ. Ever since the black bull rented the Nordschleife last year, it’s been widely believed that the Huracan Performante set a new Nürburgring laptime. Whether it’s cars overtaking on the wrong side of the track in public driving, race cars ignoring double yellow flags, or pedestrians narrowly avoiding crashing cars, the Nürburgring is clearly dangerous.
While I do enjoy a nice fast motorcycle lap of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, Murtanio’s latest upload is not making me want to pull my leathers on again any time soon.
It’s a heady mix of good luck, skill, big balls and ridiculous-life-threatening optimism.

It’s no secret that the guys at Affalterbach are gunning for Porsche with their latest range of supersports machinery. And when I first saw the green beast, the AMG GT R, I guessed it was aimed at the 991 GT3.

In recent years Horst von Saurma has been replaced by Christian Gebhardt, but the laps continue: Continue reading VIDEO: Ferrari 488 GTB time attack on the Nordschleife
Just a quick update with a far-too-short video I shot in the evening. The little mid-engine Hyundai has generated a massive wave of interest around the world, but its appearances on the Nürburgring have been all too short and sporadic. Continue reading VIDEO: That 350hp mid-engine Hyundai RM16 in action
Chevrolet are really on a roll at the moment, and they’re turning out some cars with blistering spec-sheets. To that list of forum-conflict-winning arguments, you can now add the 2017 Camaro ZL1.
Because this 1800kg* monster is now nearly as capable around the Nordschleife as a BMW M4 GTS, or at least, so you’d think…
