As reported on before, Milltek Sport haven’t just supplied new, improved exhaust systems to every GT86 Cup team, they’ve also bought a new 2017 spec car and allowed #TeamBTG to race it! With massive support from LiteBlox, and help from RaceWear24 and Vollverklebt (and many more friends) we’re back for another season of VLN… Continue reading VLN1: We win the first race of the TMG 2017 GT86 Cup
VLN1 was an incredible spectacle. Not only was the weather unusually perfect, but the action was none-stop. For the spectators, this was simply awesome.
For the drivers, it was hectic, chaotic and very hard work. While we made it through the maelstrom in our GT86 and scooped a victory in the TMG GT86 Cup (full story later), other drivers weren’t so lucky. Continue reading VIDEOS: Watch this M235i driver LEGITIMATELY lose his shit
File this one under “Interesting, but not that emotional”. Finally, after last October’s mysterious appearance, the NIO EP9 laptime is officially official.
After the heart-lifting golden sunshine of the Nürburgring’s first weekend of opening, it should be no surprise that the second week was completely the opposite.
Sure enough, moody dark clouds, full of morale-sapping drizzle, hung low over the Eifel mountains on Saturday as over 100 VLN racing cars took to the Nordschleife.
And #TeamBTG was there with our new GT86 Cup by Toyota Motorsports GmbH. Continue reading Driving the VLN Test & Einstellfahrten: wet and wild
Would there be gravel, wouldn’t there? It was the question on every fan’s lips after this story appeared on BridgeToGantry.
As one of the most-crashed corners of the Nürburgring, and a constant feature of Nürburgring Youtube channels, the safety of Brünnchen is important for the reputation of the Nordschleife.
But after a few modifications, the final version for 2017 has arrived, just hours before the first VLN cars hit the Nordschleife (including the TeamBTG GT86 Cup machine). Continue reading Brünnchen mods finished – VLN racecars hit the Nordschleife tomorrow
In a very pleasant surprise, the Nürburgring Nordschleife opened a whole week earlier than planned. Not only that, but the weather was also unusually warm and mild, with dark blue skies and some almost-warm sunshine!
As previously mentioned, there have been some significant changes to the the Nürburgring for 2017, both on the Nordschleife itself and the entrance area: Continue reading Easier and safer than before? The Nürburgring is OPEN for 2017
When I ask you to name the world’s greatest racers, you’re spoiled for choice. So many legends, heroes and great human beings to choose from.
But, here’s mine: John Surtees. And we need to NAME a corner of the Nordschleife in honour of him. And I need YOUR HELP. Continue reading Surtees Corner: honouring a true RINGMEISTER.
Well, earlier than planned, anyway. Those of you who were planning to drive the ‘first day’ of 2017 Nordschleife Touristenfahrten need to cross out Sunday March 19th from your calendar, and enter Saturday March 11th instead. Continue reading SURPRISE! The Nürburgring is opening EARLY this year
While the internet is on fire, and supercar fans are rioting in the streets, Lamborghini must have slipped this video out the back door.
It explains so much, and I hope it will help bury this painful episode quickly and painlessly.
See for yourself:

Now before Audi AG send the lawyers after me, I’d just like to say that what follows is only my own personal opinion. I’m sure if you’re a fan-boi, you won’t even read this properly. Hell, I still get messages exclaiming disgust for how I must ‘hate’ Alfa Romeo, just because I had the audacity to say that a laptime boast delivered at a press conference isn’t the same as actually showing us the lap.
But now it appears that you might not even be able to show us a lap and have it believed. Why?
